NHS North East North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) commission Children’s Paediatric Services from the NHS Foundation Trust. There is a team of doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, health care assistants and specialists in care for children. This service provides a comprehensive range of Child Health, Paediatrics and Neonatal services.

Midwifery and Maternity Services

Expecting a baby is a very exciting time. NHS North Tees & Hartlepool Foundation Trust have options available for discussions with your midwife, partner and family regarding where you choose to have your baby delivered.

The Trust currently offer Continuity of Care pathways for groups of low-risk women, pregnant teenagers, diabetic mothers and women who may have booked a caesarean section. Continuity of Care means that women will receive dedicated support from the same midwifery team throughout their pregnancy.

Disability Register

Registering your child on the Disability Register is optional. They are not required to have an EHCP or a diagnosis. By registering on the disability register you could give you and your family the chance to influence and shape services. You can register your child or young person if they are:

  • aged 0 to 18 years;
  • experiencing development delay in one or more areas;
  • is likely to need support into adulthood; and
  • live in Hartlepool.
