National Childbirth Trust Infant Feeding and Perinatal Mental Health Peer Support Services!

Hartlepool Borough Council commissions the National Childbirth Trust to expand antenatal and 0-2 service officer for parents!

Hartlepool Borough Council are delighted to have been successful in commissioning NCT to lead on the Infant Feeding and Perinatal Mental Health Peer Support Services in Hartlepool from early 2024, they will work closely with our Family Hubs to ensure we are able to deliver a range of quality streams of support to families welcoming a new baby in Hartlepool.

The services being delivered across the town are Infant Feeding and Perinatal Mental Health trained peer support in the community, community drop ins, offering home visits, a phone line and virtual groups, one to one support, peer support within 2 hospitals as well and more!

We are grateful to be working with NCT, NHS and Health Visiting alongside our friends within the Voluntary and Community Sector to help bring these essential new services for parents to the area.

Our Family Hubs also offer a range of group support sessions for new parents including, baby massage, latch-on, 3-4 month drop ins, new born behavioural observations and lots more, visit our Events page for a full list of group sessions.
